Ironhide makes an appearance as one of the main Autobots in Transformers the Movie (2007). Transformers (2007) Ironhide in the first two Transformers live-action movies He makes a short appearance in the Transformers 80's movie, though, unfortunately, he died when the Decepticons attacked him and a few other Autobots in an Autobot ship. Ironhide's heavily-armored skin is made of a trithyllium- steel alloy impregnated with irradiated carbon fibers, making him one of the most invulnerable of the Autobots. However, despite his gruff nature, he is still very kind and loyal to his friends, especially Optimus Prime. He's one of the oldest Autobots, and loves hand-to-hand combat. Ironhide is gruff, grumpy and aggressive and he prefers action to words. They arrive in time to help Bumblebee and Ratche who were discovered by the Decepticons. Ironhide and other Autobots led by Prowl then head to Oregon, where the Decepticons’ command bunker is located. Ironhide interprets it as Megatron being on Earth with an infiltration unit, which has been fueling themselves with a new energy source so they don’t know how powerful they are. After Ratchet infiltrates the Decepticons’ Nebraska base, he sends a message to Ironhide and Prowl about what he believes the Decepticons have been doing on Earth. Later, he secretly sends a pulsewave to Optimus Prime to come to Earth based on the situation. Soon, Ironhide, along with Prowl and Sunstreaker, arrive and shoot down Thundercracker but then they apprehend Ratchet for violating rules and going against orders. Ratchet, while being chased by Thundercracker sends a request for help to Ironhide, but Ironhide rejects it believing that at best it would be tenuous and at worst a complete waste of resources.
